Let me tell you, William Ollie is not an author I am familiar with. The premise of this looked interesting so I gave it a shot. What a ride! From adolescent fantasy to flat out crime drama, this novel entertains! A unique premise allows for multiple scenarios ranging from superstar dreams to skincrawly horror. I recommend this for anyone looking for a quick, fun read. It ain't Dostoevsky.
I should state I have not read Shroud of Night {oddly pictured above). If I do...I'll review it.
Meet Simon, a sixteen year old lad picked on at school and he is not the cool kid on the block.
Simon's mother has a new boyfriend and wants to spend time with him alone, so she packs Simon off to spend time with his Granny but when Simon arrives, his Granny seems different, very different....
What is that cool cat's eye ring she is wearing? A ring of power!
When Simon has the ring for himself, he can become who ever he wants, Rock star, the biggest Mafia leader in the city or maybe the richest banker playboy. What he does not realise is when he becomes them, he will have their habits too and some of them are NASTY!
Join Simon in an adventure he will never forget and some of life's lessons he may well wish he never experienced..
William Ollie is a firm favourite of mine, I have not been disappointed in any of his books.
